Hey there I'm Stacey K
I am a writer, a mother, and a wellness lifestyle advocate.
I have three daughters; the two littles are 8 and 10 and the big one is 15 years old. I am married to a supportive, hardworking Croatian man and together, we live in Baldivis, Western Australia. We moved to Perth from Adelaide after a winter family holiday spent there that was full of sunshine and rainbows; the weather in WA is pretty hard to beat.
Family life in Baldivis hasn’t all been sunshine and rainbows though, and we have gone through some pretty heart-wrenching and challenging times since we moved to Perth almost 6 years ago. About 2 years ago I was diagnosed with Fibromyalgia, and I was struggling with some pretty intense mental health issues too. As a family, we made changes to our lifestyle over the last 18 months that have turned our life around and helped us to find a balance that works for us. I still live with the chronic illness but I now manage the symptoms, they do not manage me and the freedom I feel because of that is immense. I have to be honest here and say that doTERRA have been instrumental in my health and wellness journey. If you want to read about my essential oil “miracle”, you can here.
I’ve been a vegetarian for 27 years and am a hippy chick at heart. I’ve always endeavoured to make natural choices for my family’s food, health & well-being. We have various food intolerances in our family, and you’ll often find me in my kitchen re-inventing a recipe by giving it a few Stacey twists and tweaks. Our household is a sugar-free household. Yes you read that right and yes it comes with its own set of challenges, but the benefits to all of us far outweigh the losses.
I started Natural Connections to share my story, recipes, oils, encouragement and life’s ups and downs, in the hopes that through my story others can find the courage and strength they need to create a wellness lifestyle. My passion is encouraging people as they start on their journey to better health. Along the way I offer support, friendship and connection. In order to be successful at anything, you have to have good support; if you are prepared to do the work, I am ready to help you in any way I can.
My business ethos can be summed up with this quote from the insanely talented Brene Brown:
